The Blackhawks have had trouble with Phoenix recently--the Coyotes are responsible for one of Chicago's two losses at home in regulation time, a 4-1 loss on Nov. 29. The Blackhawks are looking for a little revenge on Monday night, but so far, the Coyotes have retained the upper hand.
Raffi Torres got Phoenix on the board about two-and-a-half minutes into the period with his fourth goal of the season. They extended that lead to two on a Radim Vrbata goal at 18:13 of the first.
Unofficially, Phoenix has a 15-11 edge in shots on net, though the Blackhawks won 11 of 17 faceoffs. Chicago had the lone power play opportunity of the period.
