The Chicago Blackhawks (23-10-4, 50 points) take on the Detroit Red Wings (23-12-1, 47 points) on Friday night, hoping to control the potent Red Wings offense.
Despite coming off a 0-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings, the Hawks have had a healthy haul of success in December, going 9-3 in the final month of the 2011 season. Much of the Blackhawks success has come on the shoulders of their strong offense, which has scored 122 goals through 37 games, good for 3rd most goals in the 2011-2012 NHL Season.
The Red Wings are no slouches on offense either, scoring 118 goals through only 36 games while converting 20.1% of their power plays -- good for 4th in the NHL. And, since neither team has shown discernible knacks for killing power plays, the game could easily blossom into a high-scoring affair on Friday night.
Game Time: 7:30 PM CST
Locations: United Center, Chicago, IL
TV: CSN-CH
