Kings Vs. Blackhawks Score Update: Chicago Trails 1-0 After Two Periods

The Chicago Blackhawks have been mostly out-played through the first two periods of their Wednesday night matchup against the Los Angeles Kings at the United Center, but the Kings hold only a 1-0 lead with a one period left. The 'Hawks have been out-shot 28-20 thus far, but goalie Corey Crawford has been strong in net.

Trent Hunter beat Crawford off assists from Kyle Clifford and former 'Hawk Colin Fraser for the game's only goal with eight minutes remaining in the second period. It was Hunter's second goal of the season.

The Kings had a chance to go up 2-0, but Crawford blocked Mike Richards' penalty shot attempt with three minutes left in the period to preserve the 1-0 deficit. Richards entered the game red hot, with 11 goals in his last 14 games for LA.

Chicago holds a slight edge in faceoff wins (21-17), while the Kings are leading in hits (20-17).
