Blackhawks Vs Kings Preview: Hawks Looking To Keep Hot Streak Going

Hawks look to add to league leading points total Wednesday against Los Angeles.

Those of you that have been concentrating on the Bears the past few months, might have been missing the best show in town. The Chicago Blackhawks are currently the top points leader in the entire NHL. They are in the midst of a streak in which they are 8-1-1 in their last ten games. The Hawks have also won their last five games at the United Center.

Wednesday the Hawks welcome the Los Angeles Kings to town. This is the second time this season the two teams have met. Back on November 26th, the Hawks beat the Kings 2-1 in Los Angeles.

The Kings were picked by many to be a strong candidate to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Finals, but have gotten off to a very slow start. Los Angeles enters Wednesday's game 17-14-5 and are currently in a third-place tie in the Pacific Division. If the playoffs started today, the Kings would be on the outside looking in.

Scheduled to start in goal tonight for the Hawks is Corey Crawford. Crawford is in a heated battle with Ray Emery for the number one goalie spot. The Hawks net minder enters Wednesday's contest with a record of 14-7-2 and a Goals Against Average of 2.83.

Jonathan Quick is scheduled to start in goal for the Kings. Quick is 15-10-5 this season with a GAA of 2.15.

Start time for Wednesday's game is scheduled for a 7:30 puck drop. The game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago and will also be on WGN Radio.
