Blackhawks Vs. Canadiens Score Update: Chicago Leads 2-1 After Two

The Chicago Blackhawks are looking to get back in the win column after a hard-fought 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, and through two periods, the Hawks are in good shape. After a scoreless period, Chicago and Montreal combined for three goals in the second, with the Hawks holding a 2-1 lead.

Montreal's Andrei Kostitsyn got the scoring started with a power play goal past Chicago goalie Corey Crawford just five minutes into the second. Kostitsyn's 10th goal of the season was set up by Tomas Plekanec and Raphael Diaz.

The Hawks would answer six minutes later. Andrew Brunette scored his eight goal of the year to knot the game at 1, thanks to assists from Patrick Kane and Brent Seabrook. Chicago would grab the lead :30 later when Patrick Sharp beat Montreal's Peter Budaj for his 18th goal of the season. The assist went to Marian Hossa.

Blackhawks star Patrick Kane will have :39 left to serve on his penalty when the third period begins.
