Blackhawks Vs. Penguins Score Update: Pittsburgh Leads 1-0 After 1st Period

The Chicago Blackhawks are in Pittsburgh Tuesday night looking for their sixth consecutive win of the season, but the Penguins are out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a power play goal by Chris Kunitz near the midway point of the first period. It's Kunitz's 12th tally of the season.

Chicago defenseman John Scott and Pittsburgh defenseman Deryk Engelland were involved in a major scuffle that resulted in a two-minute instigator penalty, five minutes for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct for Scott. Scott took issue with Engelland's hit on Marcus Kruger; Engelland left his feet to deliver the hit, though no call was made by the officials.

Unofficially, Pittsburgh out-shot Chicago 13-10 in the opening period. The Penguins had three power play opportunities.
