The Chicago Blackhawks got off to a quick start in Miami, and the crowd went...well, we can at least verify the existence of a crowd.
Jonathan Toews got the Blackhawks on the board a little over four minutes into the game with his fifth goal of the season. The goal was subject to an official review because it appeared as though Toews may have kicked the puck illegally, but no evidence of wrongdoing was found. Not long after, Chicago's Jamal Mayers got into a scuffle with Florida's Matt Bradley, and both served five minutes for fighting.
Unofficially, the Panthers out-shot Chicago 15-7 in the first period. Good seats still available.
