Coyotes Vs. Blackhawks Score Update: Chicago Trails 1-0 After First Period

The Chicago Blackhawks are hosting the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night as they play their first home game following the annual "Circus Trip" and hope to win for the third time in a row. They're trailing after one period in the United Center, though, as the Coyotes have jumped out to a 1-0 lead on the road.

The game was scoreless for most of the first period, but Phoenix's Daymond Langkow scored for the Coyotes with roughly four minutes left in the period. Phoenix got eight shots on goal, with Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford stopping seven of them. Chicago mustered seven shots on goal against Coyotes goalie Mike Smith, but they weren't able to capitalize. The Blackhawks come into the game with the third-best scoring offense in the NHL, so we know that they can put up a few goals in a hurry.
