Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Recap: Chicago Blackhawks Win Behind Three Third Period Goals

It would be unfair to say the Chicago Blackhawks extracted a certain amount of revenge on the Vancouver Canucks tonight for their Game 7 defeat in the first round of last year's playoffs, but the 'Hawks will gladly take a 5-1 win at Rogers Arena as a consolation prize.

The game was 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining until Chicago's offense found an extra gear. Captain Jonathan Toews scored off feeds from Viktor Stalberg and Marian Hossa for his team-leading 10th goal of the year. Patrick Sharp would beat Cory Schneider for his sixth of the year minutes later, thanks to assists from Nick Leddy and Patrick Kane. Steve Montador added the final goal of the night -- and his second point of the game. Assists would be credited to Toews and Hossa.

Hossa led the game in points by tallying three assists. The Canucks out-shot the Blackhawks 29-27 on the evening.
