Blackhawks Vs. Canucks Score Update: First Period Ends Scoreless

The 'Hawks and Canucks skated to a 0-0 first period in their highly anticipated matchup at Rogers Arena. Vancoeuver out-shot Chicago 10-8, and edged the Blackhawks 6-3 in takeaways. The Caucks also out-hit Chicago 10-6 in the first period.

Chicago center David Bolland, who's status was uncertain coming into the day, logged over four minutes of ice time in the first period.

Scratches for the Canucks included Roberto Luongo, who will miss the game thanks to an upper body injury. For Chicago, defenseman Brent Seabrook will sit out with a lower body injury.

As expected, Cory Schneider got the start in net for Vancouver. Starting netminder Corey Crawford is between the pipes for the Blackhawks. Crawford entered the game 8-4-2 with a .905 save percentage.
