Dave Bolland Injury Update: Blackhawks Forward Likely To Play Wednesday

Chicago Blackhawks forward Dave Bolland is expected to play against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night, returning to the team after missing the past three games.

Bolland, 25, missed the past three games after suffering a right leg injury while attempting to block a shot against the St. Louis Blues. He's been limited in practice over the past few days, so he may not end up taking his usual place on the checking line.

He's replacing Rotislav Olesz in the lineup for Wednesday's game. Head coach Joel Quenneville told reporters today that Olesz has been placed on waivers, meaning that he'll be sent to the minors in 24 hours if no team places a claim by then. The left wing didn't practice with the team on Wednesday.
