Blackhawks Vs. Flames Recap: Chicago Coasts To 4-1 Victory

Make it two in a row for the Blackhawks. Chicago followed up their 6-3 defeat of the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night with a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Friday night. The Blackhawks (10-4-3) took a 2-0 lead into the second quarter, but that was cut in half when Olli Jokinen lit the lamp for the Flames (6-8-1) with the third period a little more than halfway over. But the Flames wouldn't get any closer, as the Blackhawks added goals from Viktor Stalberg and Patrick Kane, whose sixth goal of the season came on an empty net with only four seconds left in the game.

The Blackhawks will take Saturday off before hosting the Edmonton Oilers at home on Sunday night. The match up between the Central and Northwest Division leaders will be the teams' first of the season.
