The Blackhawks and Stars met for the second time in as many nights and this time it was the Hawks who were energized by the home crowd and beat Dallas 5-2 at a sold out United Center.

After what many felt was a flat Hawks squad on Friday evening, the Hawks were anything but in their second game of the season. Andrew Brunette got the Hawks on the board when he knocked one past Dallas goalie Andrew Raycroft.

The Hawks would increase their lead in the second period thanks to goals by Dave Bolland and a break away goal by the Captain Jonathan Toews. Patrick Sharp would put the game out of reach in the third period when he went around three Stars to score his first goal of the season.

Corey Crawford wasn't tested much for the Blackhawks on Saturday. Dallas managed only 21 shots but Crawford did have some nice saves as the Hawks goalie improved his record on the season to 1-1.

The Hawks will next play host to the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday evening,
