Not Every Blackhawk Got His Name On The Stanley Cup

Bet you didn't know about this arcane NHL/Stanley Cup rule:

↵↵
NHL rules state that a player has to play half the season -- 41 games -- or at least one game in the Stanley Cup Finals, for his name to go on the Cup.
↵↵

That left forward Bryan Bickell, who played in only 16 regular season games and four playoff games -- none in the Finals -- off the engraving that came back this week. He took it pretty well, though:

↵↵
"If it was on there, it would kind of be like a freebie," Bickell said. "To be here during the playoffs, I sure feel like I was part of the team and to play a couple of games … but hopefully we can bring it back again."
↵↵

That, and the $30,000 Stanley Cup ring Bickell got.
