Celebrate Chris Chelios During 'Blackhawks Week' On CSN Chicago

The Blackhawks will be honoring Chicago native and future Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios on Friday, Dec. 17 with "Chris Chelios Heritage Night." In addition to televising the ceremonies honoring Chelios live at 7 p.m. that day before the game between the Blackhawks and Red Wings, CSN Chicago is going to be carrying two classic Blackhawks games where Chelios played key roles, earlier in the week.

On Tuesday, Dec. 14 the network will be showing the Blackhawks at Canucks game from May 25, 1995. On that day, Chelios scored the dramatic game winner in overtime in Game Three of the Western Conference semifinals against Vancouver. The telecast will begin at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, Dec. 16 CSN Chicago will show another Blackhawks at Canucks game from the 1995 Western Conference semifinals, this time Game Four, where Chelios once again scored a game-winning -- and series–clinching -- goal in overtime. This telecast also begins at 7 p.m.

There will be three live Blackhawks telecasts on CSN next week; Monday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m., Blackhawks at Avalanche; Wednesday, Dec. 15, Blackhawks vs. Avalance at the United Center, and Friday, Dec. 17, following the ceremonies honoring Chelios, the Blackhawks take on the Detroit Red Wings at the UC at 7:30 p.m.
