Today's college football bowl schedule is on a very precise time limit. Instead of starting games on the hour or half-hour, ESPN is allotting exactly three hours and twenty minutes for each game. Don't go into overtime!
↵↵11 a.m., ESPN: College football, Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl: Army vs. SMU at Dallas. Kind of unfair that Army gets to play in the Armed Forces Bowl. You'd think the other team wouldn't have much of a chance... except that it's being played at SMU's home stadium.
↵↵2:20 p.m., ESPN: College football, New Era Pinstripe Bowl: Kansas State vs. Syracuse at Yankee Stadium in New York. They promise they'll have the streets cleared by tomorrow. Probably. Maybe. Expected game-time temperature: 40.
↵↵5:40 p.m., ESPN: College football, Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl: North Carolina vs. Tennessee at Nashville. Pretty soon, it may take longer to read the names of some of these bowls than to play them.
↵↵6 p.m., TNT: NBA, Knicks at Magic.
↵↵6 p.m., ESPN2: College basketball, Temple at No. 8 Villanova.
↵↵7:30 p.m., CSN Chicago: NHL, Blackhawks vs. Sharks at the United Center.
↵↵8:30 p.m., TNT: NBA, Spurs at Mavericks.
↵↵9 p.m., ESPN: College football, Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl: Nebraska vs. Washington at San Diego. Next year, Nebraska moves to the Big Ten, which will have twelve members. Makes all the sense in the world, doesn't it?
