Jonathan Toews Injured In Blackhawks 3-1 Loss To Blues

The Blackhawks finally got back to full strength with a 100% healthy team tonight, with the activation of Patrick Kane. With all the injuries they’ve had this year, this was the first time all season that the team was completely healthy.

The health lasted less than one period. Jonathan Toews crashed into the boards after being checked hard by the Blues’ Matt D’Agostini. His shoulder hit first. Toews skated to the Hawks bench and did not return. The team called it an “upper body injury” which would be pretty obvious, considering he hit his shoulder. It’s not known how long Toews will be out.

Jake Dowell scored the Blackhawks’ only goal of the game; team defense wasn’t very good Tuesday night as Marty Turco had to face 43 shots. He made 40 saves, but it wasn’t enough as the Hawks’ winning streak ended at four.

The Blackhawks will face the Sharks at the United Center on Thursday.
