The Deep Dish has just learned that the Chicago Blackhawks and Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White will unveil a new Blackhawks specialty license plate tomorrow afternoon. Joining White at the 2 p.m. press conference at the James R. Thompson Center will be Hockey Hall of Famer and Blackhawks Ambassador Bobby Hull and three-time NHL All-Star and current goalie Marty Turco.
↵↵↵Fans who purchase the new specialty plates will not only be showing support for their team, but will also be supporting public schools in the state of Illinois.
↵The Blackhawks are the first team in Illinois to take advantage of Public Act 095-0031, which was enacted in 2002, allowing for sports teams to have license plates designated as Professional Sports Teams plates.
