Where In The World Is Cristobal Huet?

No, this isn't a "Where's Waldo" quiz; everyone knows that the Blackhawks had to off-load Cristobal Huet's contract somewhere for salary-cap reasons, and that he wound up signing to play for a Swiss team.

But how's he doing in Europe? He told ESPN Chicago:

↵↵
"Things are not bad," Huet told ESPN.com on Thursday over the phone from Switzerland where he's now playing goal for Fribourg-Gottéron in an arena that holds 7,000 people.

Huet went on to say that he'd like to come back to the NHL, but that doesn't seem likely -- he's 35 and the Blackhawks are also on the hook for paying him the same $5.625 million next year as well. He can't be too unhappy about that, or this:

While he's a native of France, Huet married a Swiss woman, so the move made sense on the personal side of things. He also obtained his Swiss passport earlier this week.↵

↵"Well, I'm home every night and sleeping in my bed," he said.

So there's that, then. Enjoy, Cristobal.
