The Stanley Cup Travels The Globe

Each summer, the players, coaches and staff of the Stanley Cup winner each get to spend a day with "Stanley" and take the Cup to their hometowns or other places meaningful to them.

The Cup has now returned to its permanent home at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. But from June 11 through last Saturday, it traveled to the following US states:

↵↵
Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, California and Nevada
↵↵

... the following Canadian provinces:

↵↵
Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta and Nova Scotia
↵↵

... and the following European countries:

↵↵
Slovakia, Finland, France and Sweden

An article in today's Sun-Times has the Stanley Cup's complete summer itinerary, complete with maps. We hope it makes a repeat visit to Chicago next summer.
