New Record Set For Youngest Baby In Stanley Cup

This cute newborn is named Elena Rose Knickerbocker; her parents are Blackhawks Senior Executive Director of Marketing & Business Development Dave Knickerbocker and his wife Kim. She was born at 3:27 this afternoon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Only 97 minutes after her birth, she was resting comfortably in the Stanley Cup, as you see above. There are, amazingly enough, records kept for such things:

The previous mark of approximately six hours was set in 2004 in San Jose, CA. Howie Borrow, Keeper of Cup for the Hockey Hall of Fame was present with the Stanley Cup to confirm the authenticity of the new world record.

The Blackhawks' time with the Cup ends Monday, when it returns to its home in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Congratulations to the Knickerbocker family!
