The city of Chicago has frequent auctions of the various street banners that you see around the city commemorating various people and events.
↵↵Next month, you can buy one of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup banners that were seen around the city last spring during the playoffs.
↵↵The auction will be held Wednesday, November 17 at the Daley Center from noon to 1:30 pm. It's all for a good cause:
↵↵Proceeds from sales benefit Mayor Daley’s “Sharing It†Program. Donations are made to the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation and the Greater Chicago Food Depository as well as to purchase holiday gifts for needy Chicago children.
