Rams running back Steven Jackson will play Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Jackson sat out practice all week with a groin injury. According to Stacey Dales of NFL Network, Jackson went through pregame warmups and will play:
Just confirmed - Steven Jackson WILL play - after testing out groin on field - true gametime decision!— StaceyDales (@StaceyDales) September 23, 2012
Earlier this week, Rams coach Jeff Fisher told reporters that Daryl Richardson would be the Rams' featured running back until Jackson could get healthy. There is no indication from the team how many carries Jackson or Richardson could receive today.
Jackson has appeared in the Rams' two previous games, running 30 times for 111 yards. He has yet to score a touchdown in 2012. The Rams and Bears kick off at 1 p.m. Eastern at Soldier Field. Television coverage is available on FOX.
