Brian Urlacher Injury: Bears LB Won't Play Against Broncos On Thursday

Brian Urlacher missed his fourth straight practice on Sunday and the Bears linebacker will be held out of the team's first exhibition game, which is set for Thursday against the Denver Broncos. The Bears continue to be cautious as Urlacher works his way back from a knee injury, and they are not sure when Urlacher will play in a preseason game, if he does at all.

Lance Briggs isn't worried about Urlacher at this point.

"Brian is a tough-minded, tough-hearted person, and he knows what he needs to do to get on that football field,'' Briggs said Sunday. "Our trainers know what they need to do to get him back on the field. For now, he'll rest. When he's ready to go, he's ready to go.''
