Adam Podlesh Injury: Bears Might Be Forced To Make Move

Chicago Bears special team coordinator Dave Toub expressed concern Tuesday that punter Adam Podlesh's left hip flexor injury might have the team looking for a replacement. Podlesh hurt his hip attempting to catch the Washington Redskins' Brandon Banks on a 91-yard punt return touchdown Saturday night.

Undrafted rookie Ryan Quigley, a Boston College product, will be given the opportunity to show his stuff against the New York Giants Friday night:

"(Ryan is) going to get a good shot this week," Toub said. "This is going to be a good test for him. He gets to play with the ones. He hasn’t done that all season. He’s going to be our punter for this game. We’ll see if he can handle it."

The Bears worked out former Giants punter Matt Dodge on Tuesday, a practice that Podlesh attended without participating.
