Julius Peppers has donated $250,000 to the University of North Carolina in the wake of a minor scandal over the release of his college transcript.
Although the transcript was released on the university's website, Peppers expressed his displeasure with the individual responsible for the leak, and harbors no ill will toward UNC.
On Sunday, Peppers flew to Chapel Hill, where he donated the $250,000 to North Carolina's Light on the Hill Society Scholarship Fund, which is designed to provide support to first-year African American students.
The North Carolina native had previously donated $100,000 to the same fund in 2009. He offered these thoughts, "I would like to endorse this particular fund and encourage other former UNC students who have found success to reach back and assist the efforts of current and future Tar Heels."
