Chicago Bears Injury Update: Chris Conte, Brandon Hardin And Matt Spaeth Missed Monday's Practice

The Chicago Bears had several players missing from Monday's practice, with Chris Conte, Brandon Hardin, and Matt Spaeth topping the list, per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Conte injured his shoulder in the Bears' 33-31 win over the Washington Redskins on Saturday. Hardin, who is Conte's backup, suffered a scary neck injury, but has since been released from the hospital. However, he is expected to be out for at least a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, Spaeth was held out of practice due to a sore leg.

Nine other Bears players missed practice, including linebacker Brian Urlacher, who continues to recover from three offseason knee surgeries. The rest of the players that sat out were Corey Wootton, Stephen Paea, Adam Podlesh, Dom DeCicco, Adrien Cole, DeMario Pressley, Nick Pieschel and Johnny Knox.

The Bears resume preseason action on Friday, Aug. 24 on the road vs. the New York Giants.
