Bears WR Alshon Jeffery Learning To Control Emotions On Field

Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Alshon Jeffery came to the NFL with a reputation for being somewhat of a hot head. On Sunday night in the Bears preseason game against the Washington Redskins, Jeffery was penalized for an unnecessary roughness call against Redskins cornerback, DeAngelo Hall.

In an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Jeffery spoke on what he'll do next time in a similar situation:

‘‘I'll just walk away next time and go back to the huddle,'' Jeffery said.

‘‘It was just part of the game, just playing physical,'' the 6-3, 217-pound Jeffery said. ‘‘Everyone's going to go at you and give you their best shot. We were both in the moment and going at each other.''

In the last football game he would ever play in college, Jeffery was ejected from the Capitol One Bowl when his South Carolina Gamecocks squad took on Nebraska.
