Devin Hester Update: WR Will Continue To Return Kicks

Throughout his career, Devin Hester has electrified the NFL as one of the elite kick returners in the history of the league. With elite speed and vision, Hester is a threat to return any kick for a touchdown. However, with his natural gifts, the Bears have also focused on turning him into a threat as a WR. Despite his improvements as a receiver, Bears Special Teams coordinator Dave Toub confirmed to Zach Zaidman that Hester will continue with his role on special teams:

@ZachZaidman: Dave Toub says Devin Hester is number one kick returner and Eric Weems is 1A.

@ZachZaidman: Dave Toub says Devin Hester is his number 1 and 1A punt returner.

After recording at least 40 catches in three straight seasons, Hester only made 26 receptions last season, his fewest since the 2007 season. The Bears should have an improved WR core with Brandon Marshall coming over to the team from Miami.
