Chicago Bears Sign DT Nate Collins

The Chicago Bears reached the 90-man roster limit on Wednesday by inking former Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Nate Collins. Collins is a two-year veteran who stuck with the Jags after going undrafted out of University of Virginia. The signing brings the Bears' roster to 90 players, which is the league limit.

Collins appeared in 12 games for the Jaguars last season, recording 10 tackles, half a sack and one fumble recovery. The defensive tackle record six sacks for the Cavaliers as a college senior.

Collins was arrested and charged him with possession of marijuana in Virginia earlier this year. Following the arrest, Jacksonville rescinded the exclusive-rights free agent tender the team had originally offered.
