Chris Williams, D'Marcus Webb Split Left Tackle Duties During OTA's

With high expectations going into next season and a pretty weak summer for Chicago baseball, eyes around the city are already turning to the Bears as a source of hope. One aspect of the team that's getting particular attention early in offseason workouts is the offensive line given how much it has struggled over the past few years.

On Wednesday, the team took the field to begin organized team activities in the next part of the offseason process. There were some new faces on the offensive line as the team tries to re-configure things in the hopes of keeping Jay Cutler upright more frequently in 2012. The first team offensive line went as follows:

Left tackle: Chris Williams, D'Marcus Webb split reps

Left guard: Chris Spencer

Center: Roberto Garza

Right guard: Lance Louis

Left tackle: Mansfield Wrotto

After acquiring numerous playmakers for the offense, the Bears have mostly chosen to stand pat with the offensive line. Wrotto was signed in December 2011 to give the team some depth, but former first-round picks Chris Williams and Gabe Carimi will need to be impact players after being injury-plagued last season.
