Brandon Marshall Seeks Apology After Being Cleared In Nightclub Incident

Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident that occurred earlier this offseason at a New York City nightclub, but now he's seeking an apology for the false accusations that were levied against him. As Marshall tells Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun Times, he thinks accuser owes it to him:

I’m really disappointed that it happened. In every situation, you have to look at how you contributed to that situation. But she publicly went out and accused me of these things, and I felt she should have publicly apologized for what she did. She saw an opportunity — maybe a financial opportunity — and it just didn’t work out because of the surveillance cameras that were there. I’ve worked hard to change some things in my life, but I can’t have things like that happen.

Back in March, Marshall was accused by Christin Myles, as 24-year-old woman, of punching her in the face during an altercation. He vehemently denied the allegations from the beginning, and it never appeared that there was substantial evidence to charge the wide receiver. He's about to begin his first season as a Bear after being acquired from Miami.
