Brian Urlacher Injury: Bears LB Likely Won't Return Until Training Camp

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher doesn't expect to participate in any of this year's organized team activities as he tries to recover from a serious knee injury that he suffered at the end of last season, according to CBS Chicago. Rather than push himself to return for voluntary OTA's, the linebacker plans on returning for minicamp from June 12-14.

It’s getting better. I’m on schedule, so I feel good. At this stage, I know the defense pretty well. I’m not worried about being out there and not knowing what I’m doing.

There are still nine remaining organized team activities for Chicago, but Urlacher likely won't be joining the team for any of them. He sprained the medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee during the Bears' season finale against the Vikings on Jan. 1.
