2012 NFL Draft Results: Bears Add Isaiah Frey

With teams like the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers lighting up the scoreboard through the air, depth in the secondary has become vital for any team in the NFC. With that in mind, the Chicago Bears selected former Nevada CB Isaiah Frey with the 184th pick of the draft.

Frey was a steady presence in the secondary at Nevada, starting nearly every game since his freshman season. Frey earned second team All-WAC honors twice in his career. He impressed scouts at his pro day, where he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash.

Frey is the second defensive back selected by the Bears in the 2012 NFL draft. In the third round, the Bears selected Brandon Hardin from Oregon St. Chicago also addressed the defensive line in the first round with the selection of Shea McClellin.
