Chicago Bears Draft Picks 2012: GM Phil Emery Talks About WR Alshon Jeffrey

New Chicago Bears GM Phil Emery has made it a point to overhaul the team's wide receivers. After trading for Brandon Marshall of the Miami Dolphins to start the offseason, Emery traded up in the second round on Friday to grab South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffrey. On the Bears' official website, Emery talked about Jay Cutler's newest weapon:

It's easy to see why Emery and the Bears liked Jeffrey. He is said to have great hands, should be a major threat in the red zone due to his significant size and gives Cutler another receiver who can go up and get the ball. Jeffrey has also battled weight and motivation issues at South Carolina, which caused him to drop to the second round.
