The newly-drafted, first round pick DE Shea McClellin spoke with the Chicago Bears media for the first time on Friday, sharing some thoughts and emotions surrounding the draft day, as well as clarifying the details regarding some supposed concussions he had while in college:
#Bears DE @SheaMcClellin on report of three concussions: "Basically, just one. I don’t know where three came from."

Coming out of college, many expected McLellin would play outisde linebacker -- ESPN have even ranked him the top OLB prospect. The Bears, however, feel he will work best as a defensive end in Chicago's 4-3 scheme, and McClellin appears to agree:
McClellin: "Think I fit well in a 4-3. I consider myself a rush end."

McClellin also shared his excitement about being able to play with NFL greats such as DE Julius Peppers, MLB Brian Urlacher and OLB Lance Briggs, though the 22-year-old expects he will be able to contribute immediately on special teams.
And though McClellin has never stepped foot in the Windy City, he appears to already be making some important connections:
Shea: "Jay Cutler texted me last night and congratulated me."
