The Chicago Bulls know they will be the No. 1 overall seed in the Eastern Conference when the 2012 NBA Playoffs begin. After Thursday, when Chicago goes for its 50th win of the regular season as it hosts the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bulls will learn if they'll have homecourt through the playoffs (pending the outcome of the San Antonio Spurs game) and who their round one opponent will be.
Now we know when the opening round series will begin regardless of the opponent: the Bulls will host either the Philadelphia 76ers or New York Knicks on Saturday at the United Center.
