Bears Free Agency 2012: Free Agent OT Adam Goldberg Visits With Bears

Free agent offensive tackle Adam Goldberg had a tryout with the Chicago Bears, according to Howard Balzer of 101 Sports in St. Louis, and though Goldberg would be far from the permanent solution at tackle that Chicago seeks, the team could use any upgrade to the offensive line that they could get.

Goldberg has spent the last six seasons with the St. Louis Rams, but he broke into the NFL as an undrafted rookie with the Minnesota Vikings when the team was coached by current Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice. Over the past four seasons, Goldberg has been one of the main patches along the Rams line, making 44 starts and playing in every single game. At 31 years old, Goldberg is experienced, and he will likely also come cheap.
