Bears Free Agency 2012: RB Kahlil Bell To Participate In OTAs

The Chicago Bears may be currently sorting out a contract dispute with RB Matt Forte, but they should not be without running back depth when offseason team activities (OTAs) begin on Monday. According to The Chicago Tribune, the Bears will have RB Kahlil Bell in camp.

The Tribune reports that Bell will sign a special offseason agreement that protects him in case of injury, allowing him to participate in OTAs while not technically under contract for the 2012 season.

Bell enters his fourth season with the Bears after playing four years for the UCLA Bruins. Bell played sparingly in his first two seasons, but injuries pushed him into a more significant role in 2011, when he rushed for 377 and averaged 4.3 yards per carry.
