The San Diego Chargers did not place a franchise tag on wide receiver Vincent Jackson, so he is free to pursue his options with other teams. Or will be when the free agency period opens on March 13. The Chicago Bears have a big need at receiver and plenty of cap space, and ESPN's John Clayton believes the team will try to sign Jackson.

Jackson, who has spent his entire NFL career to this point with San Diego, had 1,157 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2011. He has exclipsed the 1,100-yard receiving mark in three of the last four years.
