The Chicago Bears officially shored up the quarterback position today, re-signing Josh McCown to a one-year deal to serve as their third string quarterback.

McCown will slot in the depth chart behind the recently signed Jason Campbell, whose contract details were revealed today.

McCown was serviceable in his very limited time under center for Chicago last season, but he's much more suited to be a third string quarterback, especially if the back up to Jay Cutler is Campbell and not Caleb Hanie.
