McCown will slot in the depth chart behind the recently signed Jason Campbell, whose contract details were revealed today.
Jason Campbell got a $2M signing bonus from the Bears, w/$1.4M base and the chance to earn an additional $1m in incentives #freeagency— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) March 14, 2012
McCown was serviceable in his very limited time under center for Chicago last season, but he's much more suited to be a third string quarterback, especially if the back up to Jay Cutler is Campbell and not Caleb Hanie.
