With the beginning of the NFL free agency period less than an hour away, the Chicago Bears announced the re-signing of CB Tim Jennings. According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago, the Bears have re-signed Jennings on a two-year contract.
Jennings entered the NFL as a 2nd round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2006. He started all but one game for the Bears in 2011, collecting 2 interceptions and 69 tackles*.

On his career, Jennings has 7 interceptions while playing in 85 games and starting in 49 of them. He likely enters the 2011 as the Bears' No. 2 or No. 3 corner back.
