The Chicago Bears are poised to be a major player in free agency with over $20 million under the cap at their disposal, and today, they created a little more room. The team cut veteran defensive tackle Anthony Adams and offensive lineman Frank Omiyale.
Bears announce release of DT Anthony Adams and T/G Frank Omiyale. Will be a lot of teams making a lot of cuts next two weeks

Adams was very useful during his five seasons in Chicago, but played only 11 games last year and saw his production drop considerably. At his best, Adams was a proven run stopper in the Bears' front-seven.
Omiyale is a different story. He never met expectations after the Bears signed him away from the Carolina Panthers as a free agent. For many Chicago fans, he was Public Enemy No. 1 regarding the team's offensive line woes.
