Whitney Mercilus took part in drills along with the rest of the defensive linemen and linebackers at the 2012 NFL Combine on Monday. Mercilus has been projected as a first round selection in some mock drafts, but he still has a lot to prove to scouts after only one productive year in college.

He didn't hurt himself in the 40-yard dash, where he clocked the fourth-fastest time among defensive linemen. West Virginia's Bruce Irvin topped all defensive linemen with a 4.50 40.
Here is how Mercilus fared in some of the other drills:
Bench Press: 27 reps
Vertical Jump: 32 inches
Broad Jump: 118 Inches
3-Cone Drill: 7.17 seconds
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.53 seconds
