2012 NFL Draft: Michael Floyd To The Bears In SB Nation's Mock Draft

The Chicago Bears may or may not pick a wide receiver in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, but if they do, they should be able to get an exciting young player who can contribute right away. Who that receiver could be almost certainly depends on what happens at this week's NFL Combine, and one player to focus on is Notre Dame Fighting Irish WR Michael Floyd.

In his most recent NFL mock draft, SB Nation's Ryan Van Bibber has the Bears selecting Floyd, but he notes that may change if Floyd turns heads at the combine:

19. Chicago Bears, Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame

This is a tough pick to gauge given the Bears' needs. Building a team that can score enough points to keep pace in four games a year against the Lions and Packers is a top priority though. Floyd will also be among the most watched players in Indianapolis this week. If he runs in the 4.4s, he should be off the board well before this pick.
