2012 NFL Mock Draft: Bears Take Iowa OT Riley Reiff In AOL Sporting News Mock

The 2012 NFL Draft season is kicking into full gear, and various prospects are rising and falling on draft boards across the NFL. With the Combine looming and plenty of things still left to be proven or disproven, the volatility in mock drafts is expected to increase up until draft day. Russ Lande of AOL Sporting News recently updated his 2012 NFL Mock Draft, and rather than focus on a wide receiver, Lande has the Chicago Bears taking Iowa offensive tackle Riley Reiff:

19. Chicago Bears: Riley Reiff*, OT, Iowa. Even when Jay Cutler was healthy, the offense struggled with consistency because the line could not provide consistent pass protection. They gamble on Reiff, who is viewed as overrated by many draft analysts.

Ohio State OT Mike Adams is off the board at No. 13 to the Arizona Cardinals, so Lande thinks the Bears are determined to grab an offensive lineman, even if it means gambling on an overrated prospect. Interestingly, wide receivers like Kendall Wright and Alshon Jeffery are still on the board when the Bears pick, and are selected at No. 20 and No. 26, respectively.
