Brian Urlacher draws fines for horse collar tackles

Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was fined for the second straight week for a horse-collar tackle, this time on Seattle RB Leon Washington.

US PRESSWIRE

Brian Urlacher was fined $21,000 for a horse-collar tackle on the Seattle Seahawks' Leon Washington on Sunday, according to Pro Football Talk. It's the second straight week the Chicago Bears linebacker received a fine from the league for a horse-collar, after he illegally brought down the Vikings' Adrian Peterson the week before.

The Bears could miss Urlacher's presence over the next few weeks, as they finish the season with three road games in their final four, two of which are against divisional opponents. After starting the season going 7-1, Chicago has lost three of their past four and have fallen into a tie with the Packers for the lead in the NFC North. The two teams will meet again on Dec. 16, and the winner will likely take the division crown.

Urlacher is in his 13th NFL season out of New Mexico, and has 68 tackles, two forced fumbles, and an interception through 12 games this year.
