The Chicago Bears have received about 13 stellar seasons of play from linebacker Brian Urlacher. The reason it's "about" 13 seasons is the fact that he's been going through injuries over the past few seasons, which have kept him out of multiple games. Still, Urlacher recently said that he wants to remain with the Bears, according to ESPN Chicago.
Urlacher said that he still feels as though he has enough left in him to play football in 2013. He's set to be a free agent this offseason, but he did say that he loves the Bears organization and that he wants to keep playing for them in what might be his last season in 2013.
Regardless, Urlacher plans to stay in the area with his family. He also plans to rehab during the offseason to see how healthy he can get prior to next season, likely to convince the Bears that he still has some tread left on the tires. With the team firing long-time head coach Lovie Smith on Monday, it's anybody's guess as to what they'll decide to do with Urlacher.
