Chicago Bears offensive tackle Jonathan Scott headed to the locker room before halftime of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a hamstring injury, the team announced. It's unclear how severe the injury is, but the team says that his return for the remainder of the game is questionable.
For the Bears, this is the just the latest injury to hit a battered offensive line that's maddeningly lacked continuity. Scott just recently joined the starting lineup, but now former first-round pick Gabe Carimi, who was recently benched by the coaching staff at the guard position, is being ushered back into action.
The Bears currently trail the Green Bay Packers early in the third quarter, 14-7, on Sunday afternoon. The offensive line has freed up some holes for Matt Forte and allowed only one sack of quarterback Jay Cutler, though that hasn't been enough to get Chicago in the lead at home.
