Texans vs. Bears injury report: Alshon Jeffery doubtful, despite return to practice

The Texans listed four times as many players on their injury report as the Bears did.

The Chicago Bears listed only four players on their final injury report, ruling Alshon Jeffery and Matt Toeaina as doubtful, while Israel Idonije and Henry Melton each were ruled as probable for play on Sunday night against the Texans.

Their opposition, though, released a much more lengthy injury report that featured nearly a third of the active roster, as 16 players appeared on the final list. While most of the players were ruled probably for action on Sunday night, the Texans ruled out running back Ben Tate and Shaun Cody from action.

Tate missed Week 9 as well due to a hamstring injury while Cody suffered a ribs injury during a Week 9 win over the Buffalo Bills. Jeffery has been missing for the last month due to a hand injury suffered against the Jaguars in Week 5. He didn't practice on Wednesday or Thursday, but was limited on Friday.

Both the Texans and the Bears enter Sunday night's game 7-1.
